This notice explains how KF Structural Consultants Ltd ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you contact us or request a quote. We are the data controller for the information you provide.
When you use our quote form or contact us, we may collect:
We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare your quote and deliver our services if you engage us. Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are:
We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. We may share details only where necessary to deliver your project, for example with your architect, builder or building control, and only with your knowledge. Our website and email are hosted by our hosting provider, who processes data on our behalf.
When you request a quote for work that needs a site visit, our website checks whether the property falls within our site-visit area. To do this it sends the postcode only (no name, address or contact details) to postcodes.io, a public open-data lookup service, which returns the local-authority area for that postcode. Nothing else is shared and the postcode is not stored by us as part of that check.
If your enquiry does not proceed, we keep your details for a reasonable period to follow up and then delete them. Where we are engaged, we retain project records for as long as required to provide our services and to meet our legal, insurance and professional obligations.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or request deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email us at office@kfstructuralconsultants.co.uk.
If you have a concern we cannot resolve, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
